Submit your Session
AAG accepts all submitted sessions that follow provided guidelines outlined in 2026 Annual Meeting Session Types and Modalities.
How to Submit
To submit a session, navigate to the dropdown menu above under “Sessions.” Enter your session details and add your call for participation if you are seeking abstracts or panelists. Throughout the process, you can add any specialty group sponsors, session organizers, chairs, and any non-presenting participants such as introducers, panelists, and discussants.
When you select “Save and Set Agenda,” your session will be added to the gallery; however, you will still need to add presenters or session participants using their abstract code to your session.
Adding Presenters and Participants
On the Agenda page, enter the abstract code for each of your presenters. The code will populate the abstract. Use the associated link to assign to your session and repeat this process for each presenter. As you add participants, you have the option to adjust the assigned time for your presenters, but remember the total time cannot exceed the 80-minute session allotment. When you’re ready, select ‘Finalize My Session.’ Note that this step is not required, and once a session is finalized, it cannot be edited.
To learn how and where sessions will be held, head to 2026 Annual Meeting Session Types and Modalities.

AAG Community Sponsors – AAG Annual Meeting Session Sponsorship by AAG Communities
What is an AAG Community?
An AAG Community can be an AAG Specialty or Affinity Group, a Community of Practice, or an AAG Committee.
What are the benefits of getting an AAG Community to sponsor my session?
It is FREE – Making a request to an AAG Community to sponsor your session is not a monetary request. It is simply an acknowledgement from an AAG Community that your session aligns with their mission.
Increased session discoverability - Attendees of the Annual Meeting often look for sessions they would like to attend by filtering sessions that are sponsored by a community they are a member of (e.g., filter all the sessions sponsored by the “Cartography Specialty Group”)
Advertising - AAG Communities typically advertise the sessions they sponsor to the members of their group.
Contribution to a Community - An AAG Community who agreed to sponsor your session will include your session as part of their annual report of activities. If you are an active member of an AAG Community and consider your session to be a contribution to the activities of that community, then getting them to sponsor it is important to them. If you are not an active member of an AAG Community, you can still request their sponsorship if you consider your session to contribute to the mission of that community.
What is the process of securing an AAG Community Sponsor?
Sessions may have up to three (3) AAG Community sponsorships. You are not required to have an AAG Community Sponsor for your session.
To secure sponsorship, contact the chair of the community. Contact information from chairs of AAG Communities can be found on the AAG Community Index.
If you receive approval from the community’s board, you may check them as a sponsor for your session.
